lstnup.

Finding people in this vicinity or, evidently, at this time in life, or, perhaps, these groups of people, who appreciate my findings is rather difficult. Specific example: Trailer for the documentary about the Rock-afire Explosion at Showbiz Pizza Palace. Both genius, and hilarious.
Friends: Thought it was just weird, and diverted my interwebs more toward videos of laughing babies. I sound a Yawp of Disgust.

Well. What I do not appreciate is riveting throughout the morning directly below my window. Why they do this early in the morning rather than the afternoon when I'm barricaded in the theatre until well past dark is beyond me.

Install: Fire Hydrant.

a love letter

to my halo3 boxershorts,
You have treated me well for a pair of men's cotton shorts. I love the irony of your violent subject matter compared to the lifestyle I enjoy when I'm wearing you. When you're gracing my bum, I enjoy the wildest of music rampages, finding everything from the mellowest of indie sopsops to the most eclectic Urban feel the Outfitters blog can supply me with. When I'm wearing you, dinner seems unnecessary! I'd rather plow forth! With my favourite beverages, with kettle by kettle of tea, or bottle by bottle of my best beers, or even delicious sip upon sip of a golden flow of whiskey. I'd rather laugh and lie and tickle my solitude with every emotion I could hide inside this white and undercrowded box.
Tonight, I swear, because of you, beloved boxers, I remembered how much I loved The Pogues when I was but a confused teenaged girl from the forests, and how much I loved to make films! About anything! For any reason! Tonight, I used the word 'Bangarang' at least once. And I discovered the likes of really great artists and bands, including but certainly not limited to Luke Top, Warpaint, Dead Man's Bones, Life In Film, Egyptian Hip Hop, Sophie Madeleine, Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions...plus fantastic music videos, including one with a walking wishbone pulling a unicycle-like machine behind it. Wow, wow, shawts! I'm impressed.
Dearest boxers, maybe you have nothing at all to do with this heated evening spent at my freshly sorta-cleaned desk! But it's been exciting and fruitful and now, I must relent to re-watch the fantastic film 'Capote' for my Screenwriting class. Alas.
Thank you.

holy crap capote..

So I'm watching 'Gilmore Girls' [what of it! I have no shame!] and there was gigantic truss in the background and this is what I was noticing rather than the drama of the episode. Yo. What've I become.

Also:
I agree with this. I agree with this completely.

Back to Capote.

Clean Bedroom..

Eight packs of Trident gum in Jack Daniels tin. Seven Rosco and Apollo gel samplers in Halo 3 tin. A couple broken guitar strings, some dead batteries, and an empty beer bottle in the little white bin in which my sister delivered me some really awesome external computer speakers. Wrenches, belts, and scarves hanging off of thumb tacks.

I feel like my Sculpture professor would have been proud of this inspired form of organisation. Pretty sure he'd say it's Groovy.

Lets see what would happen if I attacked the kitchen!

In completely other news, I feel I need to stop doing my impression of Leeloo in 'the Fifth Element' trying to say 'playyyyzhaaaalp' because no one gets it, ever, and it rarely makes sense. But it's one of the few impressions I do that I think is pretty spot on. Alas!

christmas?

Neko Case recorded on this supposed [yes, real] ATHF Christmas album. I'm not sure if there's any way to react but, awesome? I guess? I love both of those things so, okay.

Today, we bought 99cent stockings with which we are going to make a family Christmas card and by family, I mean me and my flatmates, posed in front of our new fake fireplace. Shh. It's a secret.

But, srsly, really, Christmas? It seems impossible. Early. Really, really early.

Travis is a funny name I haven't thought of in a while. As is Gregor.

kill bill's on again..

I cannot wait to get out of Rhode Island. I cannot wait to get out of ruralia or suburbia or whatever 'ia' I consistently find myself in.

And I don't really get the 'Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids' quote in this film. I never do. 'Trix' is in her real name. She's got trix up her sleeve? She never ever wears sleeves. Ridiculous. Also, I like the second film better. This one's too many Japanese fight scenes.

But really, I can't go to bed because I'm consciously dreaming about the future. Today, I read the word 'present' as 'preset' because I live and breathe stage management. It's a little bit unfortuate.

PRESENTPRESENTPRESENT.

ha! git along git along..

fairly certain that i've thought up too many projects for my own good.

between what may become a really bitchin hair stylin career.

and me and kylie's fashion spread...our trash bag garments fashion spread, which i am taking vrrrryyysrssslyyy.

my novel which i've taken a deep breath and started again after over a month of emotionally not being able to think about it.

various film projects. evidently, each film i make for my screenwriting course is extra credit. and fun. and productive. and worthwhile. i'm going to do a rather short either experimental or just plain silly one this weekend, and start collecting a whole compilation of shortybits to form some kind of stream of conscious, rather, stream of awesome. and keep working on the script i pitched for the class and get to work on shooting that one. yeah.

Among other things I've thought of! Bursts of Creativity: they come and go. It probably mostly happens when I a] kick or b] get back on, energy drinks.

But this also means I probably have to quit the lease...and give up my horse. There realistically aren't enough hours in the day or monies in my life.

I really, really hate Reality, so much of the time.

91revelations.

True Love. 'soulmate' love is very easily comparable to my feeling about England, London, specifically. In truth. I realised this while driving down 91 last night after a truly delightful day back in New York City. This has little to do with my realisation aside from the fact that both the city and driving and music all inspire me. A lot.

So yeah...

It's this feeling of Home. A feeling of utter belonging. The ultimate belonging. A feeling of security and comfort - That you can be yourself here, and not only be yourself but bask in how much you relate to this other subject, and how much they relate to you.

So you've got this extreme relief. This nightly sigh.

But at the same time, it's a nonstop inspiration, whether you're there or just thinking about them. It's thrilling just to think, just to imagine, just to put yourself there.

That's really what it is.

In semi-unrelated news, Samuel Beam's voice coos me to relaxation, 'Dark Was the Night' is one of the best albums ever made, I don't remember the last time my throat was in this much pain [monodays, yes i do], I want it to be May.
