I haven't stopped smiling since Friday. I am so proud of myself. One of the world's most prestigious drama schools - Really? And they are taking me in? I am ridiculously grateful, ridiculously lucky, and so ready to work my butt off further to get there [financially, dontchaknow]. I've already started writing up my budget - All the things I have to be able to afford. It's going to be really hard work, but I saw so many adorable cardis and DVDs today and passed them all by...with a grimace. I can do this. It is worth it.
Because nothing makes me as happy as England does.
'War Horse' is coming to the West End. I'm going to see it again.
I'm fitting in a weekend trip up to Liverpool, fawning over Anfield Stadium. I've just started to logically plan the trip as a whole, realistically, and I don't think, unfortunately, that Iceland is going to happen this time. Temporary plan at the mo' is to come a few days early, maybe stay with friends until LAMDA will let me into housing [unless they'll let me in a few days early which would be amazing], stay at LAMDA those two weeks of the course, maybe take that weekend in the middle and do a day trip or something [Brighton, maybe?], then stay a few days after, stay overnight in Liverpool and give it the attention it deserves, return to London and maybe stay at the 'Wick for a couple days just like old times! Because Liverpool needs to happen and that plus a trip to Iceland, plus the extra days in London really starts to rack up the money. And I'd rather spend more time in England than going elsewhere. Anyway, that's all temporary until I get my package from LAMDA. Okay.
I'm sad that Costa's hot chocolate orange won't be in season, but totally ready to digest endless bubble gum gelato from that place by the Eye. And pint by pint of Strongbow, needless to say.
This may be most of what I write about for a good long time.
London in summer.
I can't stop looking at my photos from September-December. The smile won't go away.
In other, more recent news, countdown to the Mountain Goats show is ten days!! I've been playing "Going to Georgia" and "This Year" on my guitar non-stop. Can't wait.
Spring break is necessary. But that doesn't stop me from disliking it. I will actually have time to get stuff done - Already have! Rehearsal schedule, done. Awesome. But I miss my friends and kitten.
Good news in the world of HILARIOUS: When I search its name, a photo of an ass comes up. HA! [Yes, that is meant to be cryptic. Awesome.]

congrats on lamda!
ReplyDeletep.s. are you going to world/inferno on april 17th?
I want to really bad!! Only thing is I hate going up to Boston [which I'm already doing next week to see The Mountain Goats] and I really shouldn't be spending any money at all what with Londonsummer. And there's so many bands I want to see like Franz Ferdinand and Ted Leo, both of whom are playing in Provvy, which is a city I do enjoy going to. But I will certainly keep you updated because obviously I really really want to go see them!
ReplyDeletehaha ok cool...well let me know, because maybe you can hitch a ride with me if you want...except i might be staying over at my friend's dorm but i'll let you know
