- Applied to grad school! And by that, I mean sent in all six of my applications for my top six universities. Now, we play the waiting game. If the fates love me at all, in less than a year, I will be back in the UK, where I belong, getting my Masters degree in Creative Writing, like I should.
- Finished Rutherfurd's London: The Novel. [the story of the greatest city on earth]. It was on my bucket list, if you will. 830 pages of joy! The best thing about it is that I no longer have to carry around pounds of joy in my purse. I do love me a good paperback.
Can finally move on to another book! Going to do a few re-reads. It's always refreshing. Starting with Neverwhere for nostalgia's sake, then metaphorically drooling over all my Stephen Frys, simply because he's my favourite writer, by far...and for nostalgia's sake. Then, going even further back to some good ol' Dostoevsky! Starting with Crime & Punishment, then, my fave, Brothers Karamazov. Then, I'm spending my winter with the Russians!
Russian literature was made for winter.
This blog kind of veered off. Books do that to me.

we had to read "london" for our dimensions of history class and then do a project about some aspect of it and make a web page based on it. i did mine on the cult of mithras in the first chapter. that book introduced me to the name "branwen", which is now one of my favorite female names. i do not want children, but if i ever happen to have a daughter, i might name her that.
