Moving to a new city tomorrow, and it's like: This is a lot more complicated than it is in my head.

like, simple, bro.
Sometimes, I imagine things are really simple. Like, sometimes I think that life could be just a little bit better if my hair was longer and, here's dreaming, thicker.

penultimate work of art commentary.
"My first erection was to a Renoir painting!"
Haha. Oh, Miles.
[work of art kept my summer interesting. it's completely sensical that the finale would be the week before i start my full time job.]
Miles also opened me up to my own second-biggest weakness. He says of himself "I'm really self-conscious about being young and to compensate for that, I try to do as much as I can and at a certain point point, it's too much." I hear that, brov.

upsidedownside.
I hate everything about summer EXCEPT:
- chickens [bwark]
- rain
- milkshakes
- farmers markets
- summer theatre
- longer to-read lists
- looking forward to autumn.
New nntsp.. post in a day or two! Clue for the featured work: The author kicked off the book with a warning. Til then, I wrote a quick little inbetweener-post. Go check it out.

CHECK IT OUT. TOGETHER. THIS AUTUMN.
I am ready. My bank account is not.
exciting bloggin' news!
Semi-exciting. I'm starting up a secondary blog! [In addition to this one]. It could really serve its purpose here, but this blog [home base] is really scrambled and disjointed enough as it is without the addition of something completely organised and sensical. Alas.
I stumbled upon this website where this creative young woman created outfits inspired by great works of art. Awesome! This is awesome. Here it is.
My favourite works of art listed:
- the Van Goghs [no doubt]
- the Perion [nostalgic, for many unrelated reasons]
- the Dali [dali is cool.]
- the Rauschenberg [text!]
- the Vettriano [scottish romance!]
- the French Revolution poster [posters! and the french rev and i go way back]
My favourite outfits created:
- Toulouse-Lautrec #1 [scoop neck + long cardi!]
- the Perion [the satchel! also, would want to wear it to that lake. w/o chunky necklace]
- the Goya! [browns! dreary colours! plaid scarf, i'm there]
- the Mistinguett [strapless rompers are cool.]
- the French Revolution poster, again [union flag skirt and amazing double-breasted jacket.]
- the Leighton [makes me want to perform Swan Lake!]
WHAT ARE YOURS?!
I don't necessarily share this particular blogger's tastes in fashion - It's all a little Forever21 for me, but the idea and the design is groovy.
Okay, so point! [counterpoint...just kidding]. My idea is to create outfits inspired by great works of literature! HA! This is a splendid way to combine three of my favourite things: Literature, Bloggin, and Fashion! Yes.
I'm totally not the first person to nail down the idea. Gone googlin' and the first two finds included one from Fashionista, which was certainly clever and related to the styles of the literary periods, but not whole outfits. And even closer to my idea was this article from College Fashion, which is much more along my train tracks with Urban and TopShop clippings, BUT I am going all the way and not going home...or going big and not going home. Whatever, I'm lost in Cliché City.
Please, enjoy! Hopefully, it gets, you know, cool, and word gets out, and people stare at it regularly, like, strangers even, maybe. Maybe even have some guest submissions! People do that. So I've only got one initial entry, and from here on out, I'm going to kick it off with a weekly update.
SAIL ON.

rememories.
After reading a few entries from my high school journal, which was often really boring, I learned that my best friends and I fought over things like the spelling of Nietzsche. I've been working on a community theatre production, which some teenagers are involved with. I don't think this is the kind of thing they fight about.

toss kristin..
A Mulberry bag for the ages:

Kristin Plum Drummed Patent, £195
"Part of what we like to call our Working Girl collection, the Kristin is the perfect bag for the Mulberry girl-on-the-go. Toss Kristin into your everyday bag to keep bits organised, then take her out on her own at lunch time or after work."
Leave it to the British to finally give a piece of fashion my name, and even spelled correctly. Alas, if I had £195. Bragging rights!

favourites, and facts.
Some favourite sounds:
- tea kettle rumbling [TEA!]
- scrollers powering up/down [prefer up]
- thunder going away [storm-ending sounds]
Also, I found out tonight that I share my birthday with Prince Albert! This is great! Prior to this, I only knew of Macaulay Culkin [I enjoy the Culkins, this is okay], Ben Bradlee [ahoy, one of the kings of journalism!], and John Wilkes Booth [as a girl who grew up with a portrait of Abraham Lincoln gazing at her while she watched television, not so proud, but hey, um, theatre fellows?]. BUT, it is a fact that the story of Victoria and Albert is probably my favourite romance of all time. Truth. I'm excited!
Hooray, 26 August!
[Fact: I use parentheticals, like, all the time(!) when blogging, but almost never, if at all, when writing otherwise. Hm.]
