The First One, Ahoy.

So, it's my first venture into Blogger.  As opposed to Blogging, which, I suppose, I've been doing since that rebellion-packed, angstiful fourteenth year of being.  But I have, with a tearful eye, said Farewell to LiveJournal, and Hello to Blogger.

So why did I switch to Blogger?
Simply thus. I'm a trendy sucker.

That's a lie. I've seen a couple of my friends use it, I've seen a handful of bands use it - All sorts - And the ability to use so many sorts of media with fewer hassles: Tempting, folks. Tempting.

So, here I am, in all my silliness.

Ranting about my life, rambling about nothingness.  I just said farewell to the blog I kept while I lived in London for exactly three months, from September-December, and it was far too groovy to stop.

If you don't know me, and you're weird, and you somehow randomly found my blog, which is weird, the first thing you need to know is that the arts are my life, I revolve most things around my career in the Theatre Biz, and my top priority is moving to England upon my graduation from university here in New England, US of friggin A.

So, enough with this Introduction bizzerness.  Tonight, I was driving my car for the first time in a while [There was snow all last week. There was a lot of it] and post-malling [oh jeez], I was still on a FULL THROTTLE BLUE DEMON BUZZZ RAHHHH, and didn't quite feel like heading home. I looped around as I used to do, got completely, utterly lost in some kind of grey, demonic fog on these ol' backroads.  It was thrilling. Titillating, if you will. I love taking risks that aren't really, really risks. It's my favourite. Especially when I'm not living in the heart of a city anymore and I have ridiculous cabin fever.  I listened to all my new tunes.  I have become a genius at finding billions of new favourite bands.  Last.fm is my friend.

So, hopefully this will become a regular thing, at least for a while.  I'll give you THE BAND OF THE DAYYY.  Yeah, lucky you, I shall recommend an awesome band/artist, usually from Britain, on the daily, or, ermm, bloggly.  So here goes.

Band of the Day:  Jamie T.
[coming info? most of it can be credited to wikipedia, dontchaknow]
22 year old solo artist from Wimbledon, South London. He's pretty, he's extremely talented, he's ridiculously creative, he's sexy, he's English, he's made for me! How about you?
Beat out Thom Yorke and Jarvis Cocker for Best Solo Artist at the 2007 Shockwave NME Awards.
I honestly don't know how to describe his music's style - I suppose it would fall under the pretty large category of Indie. But, uhh, Canvas Magazine apparently described him as "like the bastard lovechild of Billy Bragg and Mike Skinner doing his best Joe Strummer impression."
Whatever it is, it's fresh.  He's one to watch out for.
Songs I recommend:  Well, I unfortunately haven't quite gotten to sample all of his stuff yet, but I am absolutely hooked on "So Lonely Was the Ballad." Get it. It's genius.

In other news, Liverpool Football Club, my number one team on my ceaseless list of sports teams I follow [get used to the sarcasm now], beat Bolton yesterday which means they are still at the top of the league.  I have my LFC fleece throw currently covering my lap as we speak. I am sharing it with my laptop and my cat.  Goodnight.
